Elisabeth Hassleback

"Cindy came into our hair and makeup room, fresh as can be, and unlike another wife of a political candidate who shall remain nameless, she didn't come with a list of topics that we weren't allowed to touch. Nope, that's because she has nothing to hide." __ Elisabeth Hassleback.

No, that's because Cindy McCain is, to quote her husband, a "stupid cunt". Hey, those are his words, not mine.

In my own words, she is a vacuous bimbo trophy wife who is about as smart as a postage stamp. Seriously, this woman makes Dan Quayle look like a Rhodes Scholar. Remember her wonderfully stupid quote about how Sarah Palin had International experience because Alaska is "close to Russia"? Really. She said that.

I guess it makes sense that Elisabeth likes Cindy. After all, those vacuous bimbos need to stick together.

Sometimes Slashdot doesn't suck

Slashbot Why is Gecko worth keeping if it is outdated and bloated?
Slashdot > Because it has a cooler name than the boring sounding WebKit. Besides, it'll save you 15% on car insurance.
Slashdot Thought it was so easy, even a caveman could code it.

Palin (from MoveOn)

Move on sent the following email out today, quoted in part:

Who is Sarah Palin? Here's some basic background:

* She was elected Alaska's governor a little over a year and a half ago.
Her previous office was mayor of Wasilla, a small town [pop 8500] outside
Anchorage. She has no foreign policy experience.

* Palin is strongly anti-choice, opposing abortion even in the case of
rape or incest.

* She supported right-wing extremist Pat Buchanan for president in 2000. [Maybe, not exactly. This is possibly unfair, Buchanan visited Wasilla and she wore a button. AFAIK, she never endorsed him.]

* Palin thinks creationism should be taught in public schools.

* She's doesn't think humans are the cause of climate change.

* She's solidly in line with John McCain's "Big Oil first" energy
policy. She's pushed hard for more oil drilling and says renewables
won't be ready for years. She also sued the Bush administration for
listing polar bears as an endangered species--she was worried it would
interfere with more oil drilling in Alaska.

* How closely did John McCain vet this choice? He met Sarah Palin once
at a meeting. They spoke a second time, last Sunday, when he called
her about being vice-president. Then he offered her the position.
